I had the opportunity to interview the three candidates for Sheriff for Arlington Independent Media and James stood out as being extremely thoughtful and ready to step in to lead. Years ago, I served as chair of the Board of Offender Aid and Restoration in Arlington. James impressed me with the innovative approaches he has to providing health care for detainees - particularly after many deaths in our jail. He also has plans for job training and other needed services to help those incarcerated have the tools they need to be successful upon their release.“
